File/folder structure on the “Memory Stick PRO Duo”
e le/folder structure is shown below. You do not usually need to acknowledge the
le/folder structure, when recording/playing back images on the camcorder. See the supplied
soware help, “PMB Guide” to play back movies and still images on a connected computer.
Image management les
When you delete the les, you cannot
record/play back the images correctly.
e les are defaulted as hidden les
and not usually displayed.
HD movie management information
folder
is folder contains recording data of
movies with HD (high denition) image
quality. Do not try to open this folder or
access the contents of this folder from
a computer. Doing so might damage
image les, or prevent image les from
being played back.
SD movie les (MPEG2 les)
e extension of the les is “.MPG”.
e maximum size is 2 GB. When the
capacity of a le exceeds 2 GB, the le
becomes divided.
e le numbers go up automatically.
When the capacity of a le number
exceeds 9999, another folder is created
to record new movie les.
e folder name goes up: [101PNV01]
[102PNV01]
Still image les (JPEG les)
e extension of the les is “.JPG”. e
le numbers go up automatically. When
the capacity of a le number exceeds
9999, another folder is created to store
new image les.
e folder name goes up: [101MSDCF]
[102MSDCF]
By touching (HOME) (OTHERS)
[USB CONNECT] [
USB CONNECT],
you can access the “Memory Stick PRO Duo”
from the computer through USB connection.
Do not modify the les or folders on the
camcorder through the computer. e image
les may be destroyed or may not be played
back.
Operation is not guaranteed, if you perform the
above operation.
When you delete image les, follow the steps
on page 45. Do not delete the image les on the
camcorder directly from the computer.
Do not format the “Memory Stick PRO Duo”
using the computer. e camcorder may not
operate correctly.
Do not copy the les on the “Memory Stick
PRO Duo” from the computer. Operation is not
guaranteed.
