View Control
Control options for peripherals (for example a pan/tilt) depend on the type of unit installed
and on the configuration of the VOT-320.
If a controllable unit is configured and connected to the VOT-320, the controls for the
peripheral are displayed next to the video image.
1. To control a peripheral, click the appropriate controls.
2. Move the mouse cursor over the video image. Additional options for controlling
peripherals are displayed with the mouse cursor.

Discovery of storage not completed. If the information about recorded video is
not cached, a discovery procedure is started in order find all recorded video.
During this time, the “discovery” symbol is shown. While discovery is executed,
gaps might be shown in places which the discovery has not yet reached. The gap
will automatically be replaced by the true video, as soon as the correct
information is available.
Automatic flat-field correction (FFC) is active. During FFC, a small calibration
flag (a shutter) rotates in front of the detector array, presenting a uniform
temperature (a flat field) to every detector element. While imaging the flat field,
the camera updates correction coefficients, resulting in a more uniform array
output. The video image is frozen during the entire process, which takes less
than a second, and it resumes automatically thereafter. Repeating the FFC
operation often prevents the imagery from appearing “grainy”. This is
especiallyimportant when the camera temperature is fluctuating, such as
immediately after turn-on or when ambient temperature is drifting.
The camera performs FFC whenever its temperature changes by more than
2 Kelvin or once an hour (whichever comes first). IVA is able to postpone FFC if
an object is tracked to up to 1.5 hours or 3 Kelvin temperatur difference.
