Configuring the unit operation settings (continued)
Enabling or disabling operation of the
ENABLE buttons by menu operation
Operation of the ENABLE buttons can be enabled or disabled by menu
operation.
Disabling operation prevents erroneous operation because the enable/
disable states become unable to be changed even by pressing the
ENABLE buttons.
1.
Press the MENU button.
2.
Open RP SETUP menu [25].
3.
Turn the F1 dial to display the “4. ENABLE BUTTON”
item.

ACTIVE

Turn the F2 dial to select “ACTIVE” or “LOCK”, and then
press the F2 dial to confirm the selection.
ACTIVE : Enables operation of the ENABLE buttons.
LOCK : Disables operation of the ENABLE buttons.
z Setting this to “LOCK” stores the ENABLE
button states (operation is enabled or disabled in
accordance with the lighting states), but ENABLE
button operation has no effect.
z Connecting an external device to the TALLY/GPI connector (GPI
input: GPI IN 5) on the rear panel enables the “4. ENABLE BUTTON”
item to be controlled from the external device.
Each time GPI IN 5 is set to On (30 ms or longer), the setting of the
“4. ENABLE BUTTON” item switches between “ACTIVE” and “LOCK”.
Enabling or disabling menu operation
Menu operation can be enabled or disabled.
Disabling MENU operation
1.
Press the MENU button.
2.
Open RP SETUP menu [25].
3.
Turn the F1 dial to display the “5. MENU CONTROL”
item.
4.
Turn the F2 dial to select “LOCK”, and then press the F2
dial to confirm the selection.

LOCK
Menu is Locked.
“Menu is Locked” appears and menu operation is disabled.
zMemory (preset memory and tracing memory) operation is still
possible even when menu operation is disabled.

Press the MENU button.

Turn the F2 dial to select “ACTIVE”, and then press the
F2 dial to confirm the selection.
Menu operation is enabled.

z Connecting an external device to the TALLY/GPI connector (GPI
input: GPI IN 6) on the rear panel enables the “5. MENU CONTROL”
item to be controlled from the external device.
Each time GPI IN 6 is set to On (30 ms or longer), the setting of the
“5. MENU CONTROL” item switches between “ACTIVE” and “LOCK”.
