Documents
Paper Size
The following paper sizes can be scanned.
A: 52 to 216 mm (2.1 to 8.5 in.)
B: 74 to 355.6 mm (2.9 to 14.0 in.) (*1)
C: 74 to 216 mm (2.9 to 8.5 in.)
D: 52 to 355.6 mm (2.1 to 14.0 in.) (*1)
*1: Long page scanning supports documents with a length up to 3,048 mm
(120 in.).
Conditions
Paper type
The following paper types are recommended:
z Wood-free paper
z Wood-containing paper
z PPC paper (recycled)
z Plastic card
When using paper types other than the above, make sure to test with
the same type of paper first to check if the document can be scanned.
Paper weight (thickness)
The following paper weights can be used:
z 41 to 209 g/m² (11 to 56 lb)
z 127 to 209 g/m² (34 to 56 lb) for A8 size
z 1.4 mm or less for plastic cards (*1)
*1: Up to 1.25 mm is supported for scanning at 200 dpi (60 ppm) in
landscape when using fi-6140Z/fi-6240Z. This setting can be
changed in the Software Operation Panel to scan plastic cards with
a thickness up to 1.4 mm. For details, refer to " Scanning Thick
Plastic Cards [Feed Mode] (fi-6140Z/fi-6240Z)" (page 179).
