Manual Focus
You can also focus the camera manually.

• Manual focus allows you to fix the focus at a set location, so it can be very useful
for shots of moving subjects and for dark or strongly backlit situations where the
camera has difficulty focusing.

• During video recording, the camera toggles between the currently selected focus
setting and manual focusing each time you move the OK button to . If the
current focus setting is manual focus, it switches to auto focus.
• If the distance to the subject is 0.1 meters or less with the zoom set to W, the
distance shown on the screen changes to . The distance at which appears
differs depending on the zoom setting.

The approximate distance is displayed on the screen.

Use the jog dial to focus the shot.
