Installing the Memory Upgrade Kit

Removing the DIMMs
1. LocatetheESDwriststrapshippedwiththeMatrixX4‐Cchassis.AttachtheESDwriststrap
toyourwristandplugthecablefromtheESDwriststrapintotheESDgroundingreceptacle
atthebottomofthechassisasshowninFigure 3‐9.
2. DisconnectanycablingontheCM
andremovetheCMfromthechassis,placingitonaclean,
drysurface.Referto“InstallingandRemovingCMs”onpage 3‐21.
3. LocatetheDIMMconnectorsontheCM.RefertoFigure 3‐30forthelocationoftheDIMM.

4. PushtheconnectorarmsawayfromthefirstDIMM,as
showninFigure 3‐31,andremovethe
DIMM.
