Optional Cable Management Kit

CablescanbekeptneatandsecureusingtheoptionalCableManagementKit(X4‐CBLMG‐KIT).

UsingtheCableManagementKitensuresthatcablesarebundledclosetothechassisandthat

cablingisnotaccidentallyloosenedordisconnectedfromthechassisduringoperation.

TheCableManagementKit(X4‐CBLMG‐KIT)

canbeorderedseparatelyandincludesthe

following:

•1cablemanagementbasepanel(with3captivescrews)

•1bar(with2captivescrews)

•4,9‐in(22.86cm)velcrocablestrapsat tached tothebasepanel

Thecablemanagementassemblyreplacestheexistingfantraybezel.See“InstallingtheCable

ManagementAssembly”

onpage 3‐35.Velcrocablestrapsaresecuredtotheassemblytoensure

thatcablingissegregatedpermodule,thusmakingmoduleremovaleasier(see“SecuringCables

UsingtheVelcroCableStraps”onpage 3‐36).

Installing the Cable Management Assembly

Toinstallthecablemanagementassembly,proceedasfollows:

1. Unpackthecablemanagementassemblyfromtheshippingbox.Examineforanydamage.If

theassemblyisdamaged,contactEnterasysNetworksforinstructions.

2. Removethefantraybezelbylooseningthethree(3)captivescrewsattachingthefantray

bezeltothe

chassis.SeeFigure 3‐32.

3. Replacetheremovedfantraybezelwiththecablemanagementassembly.Attachtheassembly

tothechassisbytighteningthethree(3)captivescrewsonthebasepaneloftheassembly.

Note: The components listed above, when assembled, are referred to here as the cable

management assembly, or simply assembly.
