Getting Started
Make use of this feature to take pictures of yourself or to take pictures in
a crowd by extending your arm.
You can take pictures with the camera while it is still in the USB cradle.
The USB cradle makes a stable base for positioning the camera on a
table or shelf or other flat surface. It is useful for taking self-portraits or
group photos without a tripod.
The USB cradle is also used to connect the camera to your PC, TV or
other AV equipment. By connecting the camera to your PC or TV using
the USB cradle and USB cable, as well as transferring still pictures and
other data from the camera to the PC, you can use the camera as a “PC
camera” (USB camera) and post images captured by the camera lens
directly on a website via the PC.
Taking Pictures With the Camera in the USB Cradle
Swiveling both the lens and LCD
monitor toward yourself is useful
for taking pictures of yourself or
with a group.
By swiveling the lens so it faces
downwards and holding the
camera at arm’s length, you can
follow your subject in a crowd or at
a sporting event.
