In R (Program) mode, the camera automatically sets the shutter speed
and aperture for taking still pictures. However, you can select other
functions such as the flash mode and recorded pixels.
1 Press the A button.
The camera turns on and is ready to take still pictures.
2 Set the functions you want to use.
Refer to “Setting the Shooting Functions”
(pp.75 - 91) for details of how to set the
functions.
3 Press the shutter release button
halfway.
The focus frame on the LCD monitor turns
green if the subject is in focus and the aperture and shutter speed appear.
4 Press the shutter release button fully.
The picture is taken.

• You can take a still picture while recording a movie or a voice

• The left and right keys on the four-way controller can be used to
adjust the exposure. (1p.63)
