Focus Mode
1 Press the { button in A mode.
The Fn guide appears.
Selecting the Focus Mode

Autofocus
The camera is focused on the subject in the autofocus
area when the shutter release button is pressed halfway.
Use this mode when the distance to the subject is 40cm
(16 in.) or more.

Macro mode
This mode is used when the distance to the subject is
approx. 18 cm to 50 cm (7 in. to 20 in.). The camera is
focused on the subject in the autofocus area when the
shutter release button is pressed halfway.
r
Super Macro
mode
This mode is used when the distance to the subject is
approx. 6 cm to 20 cm (2.4 in. to 8 in.). The camera is
focused on the subject in the autofocus area when the
shutter release button is pressed halfway. The flash is set
to a (flash off).
s
Infinity-Landscape
mode
This mode is used for taking distant objects. The flash is
set to a (flash off).
z
Manual Focus This mode lets you adjust the focus manually.

AF Area Move
This mode changes the position of the focusing area. You
can choose from nine positions.
