Diskette Drive
The diskette drive is removed for replacement or when installing another media device.
To remove the diskette drive:
1. Perform the preparation procedures. See “Preparation Procedures” earlier in this chapter.
2. Remove the top access panel. See “Top Access Panel” earlier in this chapter.
3. Remove the drive cage assembly. See “Drive Cage Assembly” later in this chapter.
4. Disconnect all cables from the diskette drive.
5. Loosen the two thumbscrews on the underside of the diskette drive

6. Remove the screw on the side of the diskette drive

7. Pull the drive back, then out the top of the chassis

Reverse steps 1 through 7 to replace the diskette drive.
