When you press the shutter button, the monitor
freezes and displays the picture until the camera
finishes processing it. You can delete the image
while it is being displayed on the monitor by
pressing
Delete
. After the status and shooting
lights turn green, you can take another photo and
display or manage your photos. See Chapter 3,
“Viewing and Managing Your Photos,”on page
3-1.
Using the basic playback feature
When you are taking photos with the LCD monitor,
you can easily use the basic playback feature to play
back photos you have already taken. In the Full Auto
or Program camera mode, press on the LCD
monitor. In the Manual camera mode, press
Menu
Change
and then on the LCD monitor.
When you play back photos, you can enlarge, erase,
view multiple photos, and play back audio recordings.

Using the digital zoom feature
There are two ways to enlarge images, using the
optical (
×
3) and digital (
×
2) zoom features. When you
use both at the same time, you can enlarge images as
much as six times.
Your PhotoPC 850Z’s digital zoom feature allows you
to double the size of your images. Follow the steps
below.
1. Turn the camera’s dial switch to .
2. Press the button at the bottom left of the LCD
monitor until a yellow frame appears around the
previewed image and DIGITAL ZOOM appears
briefly in the center of the monitor.
If you want to use the digital zoom feature and
continuous shooting features together, turn the
dial switch to .
