4. To make recordings when taking pictures with
the LCD monitor, turn the dial switch to .
Note:
To make recordings when using the continuous
shooting or time lapse feature, turn the dial switch
to . See “Using the continuous shooting
feature” on page 2-23, or “Using the time lapse
feature” on page 2-24.
You cannot make recordings when taking pictures
using the viewfinder.
5. Frame your subject in the LCD monitor and press
the shutter button.
6. The captured image appears on the screen
momentarily, then the camera begins the audio
recording. A countdown of the recording time
appears on the screen. You can record a message
until the time runs out by speaking into the built-
in microphone on the back of the camera.
For existing photos
To make recordings for previously taken photos,
follow these steps.
1. Turn the dial switch to .
2. Display the photo for which you want to make an
audio recording.
3. Press
Menu Change
. Then press
Sound
.
4. You can make three, five, or ten second
recordings. Press the button next to the desired
time.
If there is already a message for the current photo,
a confirmation message appears. To erase the old
recording and make a new one, press
Yes
. Press
No
to cancel recording.
When the image is locked, the message appears.
Press
Release
to unlock the image before
recording. Press
BACK
to cancel the operation.
After you unlock the image, press
Yes
to start
recording or
No
to cancel recording.
5. A countdown of the recording time appears on
the screen. You can record a message until the
time runs out by speaking into the built-in
microphone on the back of the camera.
