Sanyo VPC-AZ1E Digital Camera User Manual

CONCERNING IMAGE AND AUDIO DATA STORAGE
Saving the images captured with your digital camera
œ Saving the images to a computer
Requires: Included CD-ROM (Sanyo Software Pack) [page 129], commercially available
personal computer.
Advantages: The images are saved as data on the computer hard disk. They can then be
processed or edited, sent over a network or the Internet, etc.
œ Printing on paper
The images captured with your digital camera can be printed using a commercially available
printer. This unit supports PRINT Image Matching feature. When shooting, print commands
are added to the picture data, and the printer prints the pictures in accordance with these
commands. If used in combination with a printer supporting PRINT Image Matching feature, it
is possible to print with optimal colors, as purported by the digital camera when taking the
pictures. For more information regarding the PRINT Image Matching feature and printing
method etc., please read the instruction manuals that were included with your printer and
personal computer.
œ PRINT Image Matching is a term for the print command that is embedded in the header file
of the image created by digital camera. It contains color setting and image parameter
information.
œ SEIKO EPSON Corporation holds the copyright for PRINT Image Matching Version 1.0.
Requires: Commercially available printer, and commercially available personal computer
depending on the situation.
Caution: When printing a single shot from a sequential shot or from a video clip, you may
not be able to print the shot if it has not first been copied as still image data (see
page 118).
œ Print out in high quality with a digital print service
For high-quality print outs of your captured images, you can take your image data to digital
print service centers for digital cameras (see page 120). Network print services are also
available for access if necessary.
Advantages: You can receive high-quality printouts of the images you capture.
Caution: To print out a single shot from a sequential shot or a single picture from a video
clip, you must first copy the data as a still image (see page 118).
If the image resolution is low, depending on the print size, the output image may
not be high quality.
Data file formats
The format of the files saved on the card and the method in which the file names are determined
are explained below.
