SETTING THE LIGHT MEASURING METHOD
You can select from 3 types of light measuring methods.
Center light measuring: Light is measured only in the central portion of the shooting
screen. This is the initial setting.
Multi-section light measuring: Light is measured by sampling from multiple areas of the entire
shooting screen.
Spot measuring: Light is measured only in the central portion of the LCD monitor.

Display the Shooting Setting Screen (see page 31).

Select a light measuring method from the light measuring method menu, and press
the SET button.
X: Center light measuring
V: Multi-section light measuring
W: Spot measuring
œ This completes the light measuring method setting.
œ When the spot measuring method is selected, the spot mark K appears in the center of
the LCD monitor.
NOTE
When the spot measuring method is selected
œ To measure light at a specific spot, point the camera so that the spot is in the center of the LCD
monitor, and press the shutter release button halfway. The light at the center of the LCD
monitor will be measured. In this condition, compose the picture and press the shutter release
button all the way down to capture the image.
