USING THE VARIOUS SHOOTING FUNCTIONS
Using the self-timer
Use the self-timer function to have the digital camera automatically capture the image for you 10
seconds after the shutter release button is pressed. The self-timer can only be used in the still
image shooting mode.
1
Display the Still Image Shooting Setting Screen (see
page 31).
2
Select the self-timer on icon U from the self-timer
menu, and press the SET button.
U: For turning on the self-timer function.
V: For turning off the self-timer function.
œ This completes the self-timer setting.
œ The self-timer setting returns to off when the main switch
is set to MONITOR OFF or Ô, or the digital camera is
turned off.
3
Press the shutter release button.
œ When the shutter release button is pressed, the
self-timer indicator will light for about 7 seconds, flash for
about 3 seconds, and then the image is captured. At this
time, if the beep sound setting is “ALL” or “SHUTTER”, a
warning tone (beep-beep-beep) sounds.
œ When using the self-timer function, be sure to use a
tripod or place the digital camera on a level, stable
surface.
œ After the image has been captured, the self-timer
function is turned off.
œ If the shutter release button is pressed before the image
is captured, the self-timer mode is stopped temporarily.
Press the shutter release button one more time to restart
the self-timer.
œ To cancel the self-timer mode, select the self-timer off
icon V and press the SET button.
When you have finished capturing images, turn off the digital camera.
