About the
“InfoLITHIUM” battery
pack
This unit is compatible with the “InfoLITHIUM”
battery pack (M series). Your camcorder operates
only with the “InfoLITHIUM” battery pack.
“InfoLITHIUM” M series battery packs have the
mark.
What is the “InfoLITHIUM” battery
pack?
The “InfoLITHIUM” battery pack is a lithium-ion
battery pack that has functions for
communicating information related to operating
conditions between your camcorder and an
optional AC adaptor/charger.
The “InfoLITHIUM” battery pack calculates the
power consumption according to the operating
conditions of your camcorder, and displays the
remaining battery time in minutes. With an AC
adaptor/charger (optional), the remaining
battery time and charging time appear.
Charging the battery pack
•Be sure to charge the battery pack before you
start using your camcorder.
•We recommend charging the battery pack in an
ambient temperature of between
10°C to 30°C (50°F to 86°F) until the CHARGE
lamp goes out. If you charge the battery outside
of this temperature range, you may not be able
to efficiently charge the battery pack.
•After charging is complete, either disconnect
the cable from the DC IN jack on your
camcorder or remove the battery pack.
Effective use of the battery pack
•Battery pack performance decreases in 10°C
(50°F) or below surroundings. So, the time that
the battery pack can be used becomes shorter.
We recommend the following to use the battery
pack longer:
– Put the battery pack in a pocket to warm it up,
and insert it in your camcorder immediately
before you start taking shots.
– Use the large capacity battery pack
(NP-FM70/QM71/QM71D/FM91/QM91/
QM91D, optional).

Qu’est-ce que la batterie
« InfoLITHIUM » ?
La batterie « InfoLITHIUM » est une batterie aux
ions de lithium capable de communiquer des
informations relatives aux conditions de
fonctionnement entre votre caméscope et un
adaptateur/chargeur secteur AC en option.
La batterie « InfoLITHIUM » calcule la
consommation d’énergie en fonction des
conditions d’utilisation de votre caméscope et
affiche, en minutes, l’autonomie restante de la
batterie. Avec un adaptateur/chargeur secteur
AC en option, l’autonomie restante de la batterie
et le temps de charge sont affichés.
Recharge de la batterie
•Veillez à charger la batterie avant de
commencer à utiliser votre caméscope.
•Nous recommandons de charger la batterie à
une température ambiante comprise entre 10°C
et 30°C, jusqu’à ce que le voyant CHARGE
s’éteigne. Si vous chargez la batterie en dehors
de cette plage de température, il se peut que
vous ne soyez pas en mesure de la charger
correctement.
•Une fois la charge terminée, déconnectez le
câble de la prise DC IN de votre caméscope ou
retirez la batterie.
Utilisation efficace de la batterie
•Les performances de la batterie diminuent
lorsque la température ambiante est égale ou
inférieure à 10°C. Dans ce cas, l’autonomie de la
batterie est inférieure à la normale. Pour
allonger l’autonomie de la batterie, il est
conseillé :
– De mettre la batterie dans une poche pour la
réchauffer et de l’insérer dans le caméscope
juste avant de filmer.
– D’utiliser la batterie à grande capacité (NP-
FM70/QM71/QM71D/FM91/QM91/
QM91D, en option).
