6.3 Removing Exposed Film
If only part of the lm roll has been exposed and you intend
leaving a ‘short end‘ in the magazine, cut the lm loop
squarely through a perforation.
The following steps should be carried out in
total darkness in a darkroom or changing tent!
Open the take-up side door by ipping the locking
grip upwards and turning the grip counter-clock-wise.
Lift up the door and remove it by pulling it to the left.
Manually wind the lm roll counter-clockwise until the
lm tail comes free from the lower sprocket roller.
Swing the lay-on roller arm aphoto away from the
winding shaft until it locks in place.
Pull the lm roll upwards and off.
Note: When pulling the lm roll off the shaft, grip the
roll rmly to prevent the middle of the lm roll
from sagging down.
The lm tail should never be pulled to tighten the
roll. This causes scratches and static discharging.
