Select [Focus mode].
Under the [A2] tab, select [Focus
mode].
[Focus mode] will be displayed when an
EF-M lens is attached. It will not be
displayed when an EF or EF-S lens is
attached.
With <A>, this setting will not be
displayed. (It will be set to AF
automatically.)

Select the desired item.
AF: AF (Auto)
Stands for autofocus.
MF: MF (Manual)
Stands for manual focus. To focus
manually, see page 120.
AF+MF: Manual focus after AF
After focus is achieved using AF, you can
make final focus adjustments manually.
After the AF operation, turn the focusing
ring while holding the shutter button
pressed halfway.
3 Selecting a Focusing Method
With an EF-M Lens
With <5> or <C>, or if [AF operation] is set to [Servo AF] (p.111), priority is
given to Servo AF. In such cases, even if you set the focus mode to [AF+MF],
you will not be able to focus manually.
