Selecting a Shooting Mode (Basic Zone Mode)

The final image simulation reflects the settings of the Picture Style, white
balance and other functions in the image so you can see what the captured
image will look like.
The following settings will be automatically reflected.
Picture Style
* All settings such as sharpness, contrast, color saturation, and color tone will be
reflected.
White balance
White balance correction
Extra Effect Shot (in <C> mode)
Ambience-based shots
Light/scene-based shots
Background blur (in <C> mode)
Color tone
Creative filters (when using [Soft focus] and [Miniature effect], with
depth-of-field preview button ON)*
Metering mode
Exposure
Depth of field*
Auto Lighting Optimizer
Peripheral illumination correction
* While shooting, the result of the peripheral illumination correction may temporarily
not be reflected.
Highlight tone priority
Aspect ratio (image area confirmation)
*With [6: XL button function] under [54: Custom Functions (C.Fn)] set to
[1: Depth-of-field preview].
Final Image Simulation
Using final image simulation you can check the effects of various settings on the
image, but the image displayed on the screen will not fully match the recorded
image.
