When you shoot close to a subject
If you cannot get a sharp focus, move the power
zoom lever to the “W” side until the focus is
sharp. You can shoot a subject that is at least
about 80 cm (about 2 5/8 feet) away from the
lens surface in the telephoto position, or about
1 cm (about 1/2 inch) away in the wide-angle
position.
When the POWER switch is set to MEMORY
You cannot use the digital zoom.
Shooting backlit subjects – Back
light function
When you shoot a subject with the light source
behind the subject or a subject with a light
background, use the back light function.
(1)Set the POWER switch to CAMERA or
MEMORY.
(2)Press BACK LIGHT.
The . indicator appears on the screen.

To cancel the back light function
Press BACK LIGHT again.
When shooting backlit subjects
If you set EXPOSURE to MANUAL (p. 79) or
select SPOT METER (p. 80), the back light
function will be cancelled.
Recording a picture
Lorsque vous filmez un sujet rapproché
Si vous n’obtenez pas une image nette, poussez le
bouton de zoom vers « W » jusqu’à ce que
l’image soit nette. Vous pouvez filmer un sujet à
80 cm (environ 2 5/8 pieds) de la surface de
l’objectif en position téléobjectif ou à 1 cm
(environ 1/2 pouce) en position grand-angle.

Le zoom numérique ne peut pas être utilisé.
Prise de vues de sujets à contre-
jour – Fonction de
compensation de contre-jour
Utilisez la fonction de compensation de contre-
jour pour filmer un sujet se trouvant devant une
source de lumière ou un arrière-plan clair.
(1)Réglez le commutateur POWER sur
CAMERA ou MEMORY.
(2)Appuyez sur BACK LIGHT.
L’indicateur . apparaît sur l’écran.
Pour annuler la fonction de
compensation du contre-jour
Appuyez de nouveau sur BACK LIGHT.
Lors de la prise de vues de sujets à contre-jour
La fonction de compensation de contre-jour sera
annulée si vous réglez EXPOSURE sur MANUAL
(p. 79) ou si vous sélectionnez SPOT METER
(p. 80).
