To return to the autofocus
Press FOCUS to turn off the 9, or
indicator.
About expanded focus
If you set EXPANDED F in to ON in the
menu settings (p. 226) when the POWER switch
is set to MEMORY, the (expanded focus)
indicator appears. At this time the image is
enlarged to approximately twice the size. The
focal distance information is also displayed. After
adjustment is complete, the image returns to its
original size automatically.
To focus precisely
It is easier to focus on the subject if you adjust the
zoom to shoot at the “W” (wide-angle) position
after focusing at the “T” (telephoto) position.
When you shoot close to the subject
Focus at the end of the “W” (wide-angle)
position.

when recording a distant subject.
when the subject is too close to focus on.
Focal distance information is displayed for
about three seconds on the screen in the
following cases:
– When switching the focus adjustment mode
from autofocus to manual.
– When turning the focus ring.

attached a conversion lens (optional) to your
camcorder.

l’indicateur (mise au point étendue) apparaît.
L’image est alors agrandie environ deux fois. Les
informations concernant la longueur focale sont
également affichées. Une fois le réglage terminé,
l’image revient automatiquement à sa taille
d’origine.
Pour obtenir une image nette
Il sera plus facile de faire la mise au point sur des
sujets si vous ajustez le zoom en position « W »
(grand angle) pour filmer, après avoir fait une
mise au point en position « T » (téléobjectif).
Si vous filmez tout près du sujet
Faites la mise au point en position « W » (grand
angle).
9est remplacé par :
lorsque vous filmez un sujet très éloigné.
lorsque le sujet est trop près pour que la mise
au point soit nette.
La longueur focale est indiquée pendant
environ trois secondes sur l’écran dans les cas
suivants :
– lorsque vous passez du mode autofocus au
mode de mise au point manuelle
– lorsque vous tournez la bague de mise au point
Informations sur la longueur focale
Les informations seront incorrectes si vous fixez
un convertisseur (en option) sur l’objectif du
caméscope.
