Choosing Images Individually

Choose [Select].
zFollowing step 2 in “Choosing a Selection
Method” (

114), choose [Select] and
press the [ ] button.

Choose an image.
zPress the [ ][ ] buttons or turn the [ ]
dial to choose an image, and then press
the [ ] button. [ ] is displayed.
zTo cancel selection, press the [
] button
again. [ ] is no longer displayed.
zRepeat this process to specify other
images.

Protect the image.
zPress the [ ] button. A conrmation
message is displayed.
zPress the [
][ ] buttons or turn the [ ]
dial to choose [OK], and then press the
[ ] button.
Images will not be protected if you switch to Shooting mode or
turn the camera off before nishing the setup process in step 3.
You can also select or clear images by touching the screen in
step 2, and you can access the conrmation screen by touching
[
].
You can also protect images by touching [OK] on the screen in
step 3.

Access the setting screen.
zPress the [ ] button and choose
[Protect] on the [ ] tab (

Choose a selection method.
zChoose a menu item and an option as

zTo return to the menu screen, press the

Protected images on a memory card will be erased if you format
the card (

154).
Protected images cannot be erased using the camera’s erasure
function. To erase them this way, rst cancel protection.
