Managing Local Users and Local Groups
Viewing Local Users
You can view all the groups a user belongs to on the Users > Local Users page. Click on the expand
icon next to a user to view the group memberships for that user.
The three columns to the right of the user’s name list the privileges the user has. In the expanded
view, it displays which group the user gets each privilege from.
Hover the mouse pointer over the comment icon in the VPN Access column to view the network
resources the user has VPN access to.
In the expanded view, click the remove icon under Configure to remove the user from a group.
Click the edit icon under Configure to edit the user.
Click the delete icon under Configure to delete the user or group in that row.
Adding Local Users
To add local users to the security appliance’s internal database. Click Add User to display the Add
User configuration window. Follow the steps below to add users locally.
Settings

Create a user name and type it in the User Name field.

Create a password for the user and type it in the Password field. Passwords are case-sensitive
and should consist of a combination of letters and numbers rather than names of family, friends, or
pets.

Confirm the password by retyping it in the Confirm Password field.
