Digital Still Camera Mode : Advanced Techniques
÷ The Protection function works only in [_(Play) mode.
+ Selecting Protectfrom the MENUsaves valuableimages from accidental deletion.
+ You may set a image to LOCK to protect it, or UNLOCKto cancelthe protection.

1. Set the Power switch to _ (CAMERA).
2. Set the Mode Dialto D_(Play).
• Astored image is displayed.
3. Pressthe MENU button.
4. Move the Joystick to the leftor rightto select _ (PROTECT).
• The available options arelisted.
ONE PIC - SELECT -ALL PICs.
5. Select the desired option by movingthe Joystick up or down, then pressthe Joystick(OK).
• The selected option is applied.

To Protect Current Image
÷ Select ONE PIC.
1. Movethe Joystick up or downto select ONE PIC,then press the Joystick(OK).
• The available options aredisplayed: LOCKor UNLOCK.
2. Movethe Joystick up or downto LOCK or UNLOCK the image, then press the
Joystick(OK) to set your choice.
• The protection (c-,) icon will be displayed for locked (protected) images or protection
(o-. ) icon disappears when it is unlocked.
