+ The Speakerworks only in PLAYmode.
+ When you use the LCD screen for playback,you can hear recorded soundfrom the built-in Speaker.
- Takethe following steps to lower the volume or mute the sound while playinga tape
on the Camcorder.
1. Set the Power switch to PLAY.
2. Pressthe I•/11(PLAY/STILL)buttonto play the tape.
3. When you hear sounds once thetape is in play,use the Quickmenu selector to adjust the
volume.
• Avolume level display will appear on the LCD screen.
Levels may be adjustedfrom anywhere between 00 to 19 and you will not hear any sound
when the volume levelis set on 00.
• If you close the LCD screen while playing, youwill not hear soundfrom the speaker.

• Whenthe Multi-AVcableis connectedto the Camcorder,youcannothearsoundfrom theBuilt-In
Speakerand cannotadjustthevolume, f
• Thesoundwill returnwhenyou removetheconnectedMulti-AVcablefromthejack of yourCamcorder.
