The Camcorder : Advanced Recording!
+ The Shutter Speed and Exposurefunction works only inREC mode.
4, Quickmenu is used to access Camcorder functions by simply usingthe Quick menu selector.
1. Set the Power switch to REC.
2. Pressthe Quick menu selector.
Quick menu list will appear.
3. Move the Quick menuselector up or down to select Shutter or Exposure, then pressthe
Quick menu selector.
4. Move the Quick menuselector up or down to select Manual,then press the Quick menu
selector.
5. Move the Quick menu selector up ordown to selectdesired shutterspeed orexposure,
then pressthe Quick menu selector.
Shutter speed can be set to 1/60, 11100,1/250, 1/500, 111000,112000,1/4000 or 1/10000.
Exposure value can be set between O0and 29.
7. To exit,press the MENU button.
Selected settings are displayed.
Recommended Shutter Speedswhen Recording 1/500or
+ Outdoor sports such as golf or tennis: 1/2000or 1/4000
+ Moving cars ortrains or other rapidly movingvehicles such as roller coasters: 1/1000,
1/250
+ Indoorsports such asbasketball: 1/100

If you manually change the Shutter Speed and the Exposure value when Program AE option is
selected, manual changes are applied first.
The image may not seem as smooth when a high Shutter Speed is set.
The Camcorder returns to the auto shutter and auto exposure settings when you change to the
EASY.Q mode.
When recording with a Shutter Speed of 1/1000 or higher, make sure the sun is not shining into the
lens.
