The Camcorder : Basic Recording

1. Connect a powersource to the Camcorder.(see page 22)
(A Batterypack or a AC Poweradapter)
Insert acassette. (seepage 38)
2. Remove the Lens cover.
3. Set the Power switch to REC.
• Open the LCD screen.
Make sure that STBY is displayed.
• If the write protection tabof the cassette is open (setto save),
STOP and Protection ! will be displayed.
Releasethewrite protectiontab to record.
• Make sure the image you want to record appears on the LCD
screen or Viewfinder.
• Make sure the battery level indicates that there is enough remaining powerfor your expected
recordingtime.
4. To startrecording, pressthe Start/Stop button.
• REC • isdisplayed on the LCD screen.
Tostop recording,press the Start/Stop button again.
• STBY is displayed on the LCD screen.

Detachthe Batterypackwhenyou arefinishedrecordingto preventunnecessarybatterypowerconsumption.
