Using the USB Streaming Function
+ To use USB streaming,the DV Driver,Video Codecand DirectX9.0. programs must be installedin the PC.
+ You canview Camcordervideo on your PC using USBstreaming.
+ You can alsostore it as a movingpicture in the "avi" file format,or as a stillimage in the "jpg"file format on a PC.
1. Set the Power switch to REC or PLAY.
2. Connect one end of the USB cableto the USBjack on theCamcorder and theother end to the USBjack on your computer.
3. SetupandexecuteWindowsMovieMakerorthe UleadVIDEOStudioSoftwareapplicationprovidedontheCD.
- For detailed instructionsfor Ulead VIDEO Studio use, referto the program's Helpfunction.
- WindowsMovie Maker is used forWINDOWS ME andXP users. (C:\programfiles\Movie maker\moviemk.exe)
Using the removable Disk Function
+ You can easilytransfer data from a Memory card to a PC without additional add-on cards via a USB connection.
1. Set the Power switch to a(CAMERA).
2. Connect one end of the USB cableto the USBjack on theCamcorder and theother end to the USBjack on your computer.
3. To verify whetherthe removabledisk has been properly recognized,open Windows Explorerand locate the removabledisk.
Connecting to a PC
1. Connect a USB cable to the USBjack on the PC.
If a USB cable is connectedto the Camcorder's USB jack, the audio/videooutput is disabled.
2. Connect the otherend of the USB cable intothe USBjack on the Camcorder.(USBjack)
If a PC is connected to the Camcorder with aUSB cable, onlythe Zoom switch
operates.

Disconnecting the USBCable
+ After completingthe datatransmission, you mustdisconnectthe cable in the
following way:
1. Select the removabledisc iconand clickthe right mouse buttonto select [Eject].
2. Select [Confirm]and disconnectthe USB cable whenthe Windows Splash screen
appears.

If you disconnect the USB cable from the PC or the Camcorder while transferring, the
data transmission will stop and the data may be damaged.
If you connect the USB cable to a PC via a USB HUB or simultaneously connect the USB cable along with other USB devices,
the Camcorder may not work properly. If this occurs, remove all USB devices from the PC and reconnect the Camcorder.
