Cleaning the Camera Body and Video Heads
ToClean the Exterior ofYour Device
Toclean theexterior, use a soft dry cloth. Wipe the body gently.Do not apply excessive force when cleaning, gentlyrub
the surface.
The LCDscreen surface should not be pressed. Use asoft dry cloth to clean thesurface.
Toclean the lens, use an optional air blower to blowout dirt and othersmall objects. Do not wipe the lenswith cloths or
yourfingers. If necessary,use lens cleaning paper.
Do notuse chemicals, alcoholor benzene for cleaning. Otherwise the finish may be damaged.
Cleaning should be done only afterthe battery pack has been removed,and otherpower sources have been
disconnected.
ToClean the Video Heads

Toensure normal operationof the video heads, avoid using in i l I
places subject to heavydust. i _ - I
Avoid excessively frequent fast forwarding andrewinding of
cassettes to avoid damaging the video heads.
Excessive use of a cleaning cassette is not recommended.
Use an optional cleaning cassettefor video headcleaning. Periodiccheck-ups are recommended.
1. Load the CleaningCassette.
2. Set the Power Switchto PLAYmode.
3. Press the I_/11(PLAY/STILL)button to startcleaning.
4. Stop playing after 10 - 20 seconds.
