KODAK Drivers for
TWAIN-Compliant PC Applications
Introduction
This section documents how to install the KODAK Drivers for TWAIN-
compliant PC applications as well as a calibration file for your camera
back.
TWAIN is a set of written specifications developed by a consortium of
vendors, that when implemented in software allows you to acquire data
from a peripheral (such as a digital camera or film scanner) directly into
your software application (such as image-editing software) without leaving
the application. Software that incorporates the specifications is called
“TWAIN-compliant.” TWAIN-compliant software applications should be
able to obtain image data from a TWAIN-compliant source of data, such
as the KODAK Drivers described in this appendix.
The availability of KODAK Drivers for TWAIN-compliant PC applications
means that you may be able to use the DCS 465 Camera Back with the
growing number of software applications that support the TWAIN specifi-
cations.
Available KODAK Drivers for the DCS 465
Camera Back
When you use the DCS 465 Camera Back, you have two KODAK driver
choices for use with PCs. Both provide identical functionality through a
nearly-identical interface to the DCS 465 Camera Back. A description of
each of these KODAK drivers follows.
